Is Mobile Banking Secure?

Mobile banking uses strong encryption techniques to protect your data. Multiple security processes including Transport Layer Security are utilized to ensure that your information stays private.

How do I log in for the first time?

When you sign in to a mobile banking on a device that you have not used before, you will need to authenticate through e-mail. You will be sent a 6 digit pass-code to your linked online banking e-mail address. You will only need to enter this information once, and will be prompted to log in with your Username and Password.

Are there any fees to use the app?

There are no fees to use the app. Data charges from mobile carriers may apply.

What are my Username and Password?

You share the same Username and Password with our online banking platform. If you are not enrolled in online banking, click on “Register” on the first page of the app and follow the instructions. For more information you may check http://www.wffcu.org/resources/banking-notices/internet.php.

What types of transactions can I do with the WFFCU mobile app?

Our app allows for reviewing current and available balances, transfers between accounts, bill payment, and the remote deposit of domestic checks. The app also gives location, phone number and hours of the credit union branches , the nearest fee-free ATM access and the nearest CO-OP Shared Branch based on your current location.

Can I enable Touch ID or fingerprint authentication in the app?

Touch ID is available for iPhone 5s and higher. On Android, fingerprint authentication is available on devices that support fingerprint authentication. Users can choose to enable fingerprint authentication by signing in to mobile banking, tapping the More tab, and by toggling the fingerprint authentication option under App Settings. Fingerprints that have been setup and enabled on the users mobile device can be used to securely sign in to the app.

We do not recommend that you use fingerprint authentication for mobile banking if you share your mobile device with other people. Other people that have access to your mobile device may add their fingerprints to the device if they know your device’s secure pass-code and they may be able to sign in to your account on that device.

How do I perform transactions in the app?

Press the green button with the “+” sign at the bottom of the screen. You will have options to “Deposit Check”, “Pay Bill”, “Transfer Money”, and “Apply for a Loan.” Select the appropriate action, and follow the in-app instructions.

What is the process for depositing a check through Remote Deposit Capture?

Endorse the check, unfold and flatten the check and place in a well-lit area. Press the green button with the “+” sign at the bottom of the screen and select “Deposit Check.” Follow the in-app instructions, making sure to include the full front and back of the check during the capture. The app will immediately let you know if the deposit was successfully submitted. If the app displays an error message, you will need to deposit the check again, making sure the check is flattened and in a well-lit area.

Are there any fees for using Remote Deposit Capture?

No, there are no fees to deposit a check using the mobile banking application.

What are the cut off times for mobile deposit and when will my deposit be available for withdrawal?

If your deposit is made by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday thru Friday, or by 11am Eastern Time on Saturday, that day will be considered the day of your deposit. Your funds are generally available for withdrawal within 2 business days. Deposits submitted through the app will appear in your account within one hour after each successful submission during business hours. For deposits submitted after business hours, it will appear in your account within one hour after we open the following business day.

What should I do with my paper check?

Please hold onto any remotely deposited checks for 14 days in case it is needed for verification. Write the date and word " deposit" on the front of the check in ink so you do not accidentally deposit the check again.

What bill pay features are available under the app?

You will have access to most bill pay features in the app. Under the “Bill Pay” section, you can see scheduled payments, payments that have been made in the last year, and be able to add new merchants. At this time you can issue immediate bill payments, but are not able to set them for advance dates. We hope to add that functionality in a future update.
